Eating in front of students
By Mrs. B.

Clip to ScrapBook
From the many replys on this subject I can see there are many different opinions. I always try to think about how to present myself in a professional manner around the children and parents in our building. I do keep a large coffee mug on my desk for soft drinks during the day. However, I would never eat in front of my students while teaching. I do have a snack during their break time, or while I'm working on my planning time. Our school has no policy on this matter. We have a reading teacher who will go around with a sucker sticking out of her mouth most of the day. If she could see how unprofessional it makes her look, she would re-think snacking in front of the children I'm sure. Just my opinion.
