Student Led Conferences By Les
|
|
I teach at a Montessori school and our 3-5 year olds lead their own conferences! As teachers, we basically pull out the children's portfolios, let the children tell their parents what is special about them, and then we let the students share their classroom with their parent. Of course, the parent and the teacher also have a conversation. We review the semester report, etc., but the child gets to show mom or dad what they've been learning. I also, usually have out materials that the student has been working with so they can successfully demonstrate to the parent what they have been learning.Hope this helps!
