I've used Open Court
By Shannon

Clip to ScrapBook
During my student teaching experience, I began using Success for All, but then switched halfway through to Open Court. I worked with 3.1.

Though sometimes the reading/story comprehension tests left A LOT to be desired,
I did enjoy the concept/problem process and so did my third graders. This whole process of taking a short picture walk prior to reading to look for clues and "problems" helped establish a purpose and desire to read.

My school participated in walk-to-reading, and so we only had 80 minutes each day for reading!! AHHHHH! This left a lot of us feeling crunched to get everything in! Because

of this, I wasn't always able to fit everything the program suggested/required in each week. But overall, I think the student anthology is great and I think you'll enjoy the program as a whole, too.

Hope this helps!
