bad sub plans

I walked into a kindergarten class with no plans
and no schedule. I didn't even know when the am
kids were supposed to be dismissed, or when the pm
kids were supposed to be picked up. Luckily I found a teacher who told me that much, but when I
told her I had no plans she basically just told me
very generally what to do and improvise from there. Plus it was a primarily spanish speaking
class, so the students had a lot of difficulty
understanding my directions for the day.
