I found some very helpful resources to make the most of tutoring sessions. Maybe they will help you. For a fun word work lesson (15 min) I use a book by Pat Cunningham called Systematic Sequential Phonics They Use. The students manipulate letters to make words- the lessons are all ready to go. Another helpful book is by Karen Loman called Assessment and Intervention for Struggling Readers. She has great ideas for everything- a schedule for guided reading to games that the students love and really learn from. Hope it helps!
