Tuck Everlasting
By J/IA

Clip to ScrapBook
I just finished this book with a group of my fifth graders. A project they enjoyed was reading online reviews from children through Amazon, then writing and posting one themselves. It was really neat!

Another popular project
was to choose 5 passages from the book that you especially enjoyed or connected with, sketch an image to go with each one, and copy the passages onto the illustrations.

A third project choice was to make a collage from magazine pictures of images of youth and images of old age, then to analyze how the media portrayed these two age groups and think about why. Help them see that it

can be challenging to find positive images of old age. They could then write about how this relates to the book.

I see this is coming late. Hope it's of use to someone out there!
