grow a bean jungle in a fish tank
By Jessica

Clip to ScrapBook
Grow a "bean-jungle" in a fish tank--fast, fun, and easy!
1. Buy a bag of "12-bean soup" at the grocery store. (The kind you use for soup)
2. Fill a fish tank with potting soil about 1/4-1/2 way up. 3. Dump in the bag of beans and have the kids mix them up with a stick. (Best outside!)
4. Set it in a sunny window.
5. Water daily with a spray bottle, and you will really see them grow!!! (It may take a little over a week to see something happen, just wait...)

The best part is you can see the roots grow down and the way the 2 halves of the seed start to shrivel up as the plant develops leaves that can photosynthesize.
It becomes quite a jungle!!!!
