Just an idea to try By Emma

Wow, what a message board on this one. I understand the huge problem you're facing - I've had similar. I just wanted to give you an idea to think about -maybe you can adapt it to the level of this child and use it. I have mini schedules for some students that are step by step instructions on what they need to do to finish a task. Some call them task analysis. You start with small pictures from Boardmaker or Mayer Johnson and or written words to fit your task. For example a sheet of paper with a list of things to do: Get out your pencil Put your name on the paper Read directions Do Problem | | #1 ...The child can then cross out or check a small box when they completed an item and know where they left off when they got off task. It takes some time to get it together, esp. with so many other assignments, but with the other help you received (increased time, less amount of work) it might help him to complete something on his own eventually. Good luck.
