Preparing a classroom By Danyelle

Hi again. I work for a large district and we have 11 programs in the regular education setting as well as a special school setting. Our district follows the structured teaching (TEACCH) model. The programs in the regular| education setting were started as structered classrooms. But, the district just recently changed the classrooms at the special school to a structured teaching model as well. I have a step by step classroom set up that was given to us by our consultant that has certain goals for each month when setting up a new classroom. I just have a paper copy of it right now. But, I'll try to get | | a copy of it on disk from the consultant. Also, I recently did an inservice on using visual supports in the classroom. I put together a disk of things needed to set up a classroom, as well as examples. (center labels, material labels, picture cards for schedules, example schedules, visual behavior cues, ect..) It is made with Writing With Symbols and you would need the program to open or print the files. But, if you have the program I could email the files to you. (If you don't have it, I would really recommend it. They recently ordered it for all of our AS & LSS classrooms) Or if you email me your school adress I would be willing to send you that info. Either way you can email me and let me know. Good Luck!
