There is a massive teaching shortage in the delta...you will probably find a job quickly, even during the school year as some positions are currently filled by substitutes. If you are not from the area, I would recommed
you visit first. Also, many elementary schools in the delta still use paddling and other forms of corporal punishment - some schools do on a daily basis. If you are not comfortable with that (I wasn't), you should be upfront in checking discipline policy with the school prior to employment so that you don't get stuck in a situation you don't want to deal with. You do get paid more in

other regions of Ark, but cost of living is very low in the delta. It could be a very rewarding experience, but definitely visit and research first to see if it's for you.
