My intent is to try some enrichment activities & steer him around/beyond the basics I'm teaching the rest of the class. He is so excited about the upcoming unit, so I don't want to exclude him. I also don't want to hand him the chalk & have him teach the class for 3 weeks. I was hoping someone out there had some worthwhile enrichment activities, sites, etc., that were successful in situations similar to mine. I have already arranged for an area paleontologist to visit our class toward the end of our 3 week unit. He's also VERY excited about that event. Any other ideas are appreciated!
