bad school?
By Connie

Clip to ScrapBook
Hi,

I have lots of experience and I feel the same frustrations. Personally, I don't do centers and I also teach first. I notice that the more experienced teachers who have better control and better results DON'T do
centers.

I also don't do much rewarding for behavior with systems. As you have said, consequences don't mean much to some. Causing a ruckus seems to be worth missing 15 mins. at recess to some. I use the Love and Logic approach by Jim Fay. It saves my sanity and makes teaching more fun.

I haven't seen any system of rewards that works great, but I'm always interested. Any

ideas?

Just keep your focus on the sweeties or you will drive yourself crazy. We have all been there and sorry, it doesn't get a whole bunch easier.

Connie
