pregnancy
By Angie

Clip to ScrapBook
I just had a baby in February and am on maternity leave currently. This is my 4th year teaching. I hate to give negative sounding advice, but I would rethink getting pregnant your first year teaching. It is very exhausting
and stressful the first year, and I know I am not alone on this one. Having just been pregnant, I also know that is very tiring (especially is you end up with nausea). I know I was very tired the whole time and just wanted to get home right after school let out and take a nap. I could't have done this my first year because I stayed at school late and then brought work home. You
might want to get at least your first year under your belt, because you will learn and change so much. Becoming a parent requires you to learn and change so much as well. It may be overwhelming to do both. I am curious to hear other people's advice on this subject! Whatever you decide, good luck and congratulations on your upcoming teaching career and family!
