Cutbacks

We are possibly going to see cutbacks in Indiana as well. Our governor froze education spending last year and this year he is only offering schools a 2% increase in funding. Most schools in my area were operating with limited
funds when he froze spending and needed at least a 3% increase in order to survive. So of course most schools are talking about cutting teachers as well as important programs. The governor is trying to take money from teacher's benefits such as retirement and medical in order to meet the schools needs, but the teachers union is fighting that. Fortunately, I have been in a long

term sub position since October which will last until March 21st and I was offered another position which begins on March 24 and will finish off this year and next year.
