Identifying with your situation
By Ditto

Clip to ScrapBook
I am sorry that I can't offer any advice but just wanted to let you know that you are not alone. I am hearing you and identifying majorly. I have much the same problem. I've tried it all within the classroom -- from rewards to restricting privileges; met with all involved -- parent, principal, counselor, remedial reading and speech teacher, and social worker; even tried daily contact with parent in writing -- which does nothing but upset me when the parent doesn't follow through. I am beginning to think the situation hopeless, and that makes me very sad. I didn't think I'd say that about a student.
