I feel for you...
By Ms. C.

Clip to ScrapBook
I do not have a student in my class like this, but there is one in another fourth grade classroom at my school (I teach fourth grade). Last year, this student would throw his desk, so the teacher got him one that has the
chair connected to the desk. His teacher this year had him sitting by himself until his mother came in and complained that he was isolated. He bugs other students a lot (looks under stalls in the bathroom), chases other students with gross things. He is smart, yet doesn't want to do the work. He will scream and not stop. His teacher this year says that she cannot focus all of her energy
on him, so she is trying to ignore what she can. I know this is hard, I have two special ed. students and they are very needy...I wish you luck. Maybe a behavior chart on his desk, so he can see how many days he behaves appropriately. It is difficult. Hang in there! Take care.
