Third Grade is Terrific!

I moved from Kindergarten to Grade 3, seven years ago. I was only in Kindergarten for one year. I really love both grade levels. Here's what I love about third graders:
* they're curious
* they love to learn new things
* they can laugh at my jokes and tell jokes too
* they're independent
* they're young enough to mold
* few hormones fly in grade 3 unlike grades 5+
* they're helpful
* the curriculum is lots of fun!!! Lots of neat things to teach.
* Third grade is primary and intermediate all rolled into one setting.

I say more.... I just love it! Good luck making your choice to move. We don't have that option at our school. The administration tells us what grade we will teach. The first half of gr. 3 is really a review of the basic skills and concepts taught in Gr. 2. After the first quarter, the kids make amazing growth. They grow like beans and mature so much. I love to watch them grow as learners.
