restroom breaks for teachers

Well, I had to go this morning about the middle of the morning. On Fridays, I have my kids all morning long, from 8:00 until 11:30 nonstop. I usually ask a reliable student to take names, and I get them involved in a quiet
task where I can slip out, even unnoticed, for a few minutes. Our bathroom is down the hallway, but when you gotta go, you gotta go.
Perhaps those who posted have a teaching assistant who can watch your class for a few minutes while you leave? Maybe a scheduled break time for that purpose? I had that when I worked in another school. Suggest to your principal that you do need

to use the bathroom, and you can't hold it all morning long. I am sure she/he will arrange something for you. Nobody is a super bladder. The only other thing you can do is cut down on your fluids, which is what I do. I know I'd never make it more than an hour if I drank a cup of coffee for breakfast.
