Yow!
By Monica

Clip to ScrapBook
80 positions! Poor Tricia--you've really been through the wringer, and now this! (In answer to your tutoring question, I asked a retired teacher who tutors high school math and science, and she charges $75 an hour. Don't
know if that will go over in your small rural county, but doesn't sound bad to me...)

My local district has announced they'll be cutting about 30 positions, and nearby districts say they're still trying to figure out whether or not they'll have any money, since California's budget situation seems to be getting more horrific every day. And here I was just getting my enthusiasm up for

another round of job-searching! Looks as if my best bet will be the private schools--less money, but perhaps more stable at this point.

Good luck to all of us!
