BANDIT'S MOON by Sid Fleishman- an awesome book that kids love that can be used for so many things like Character counts, similes, racism, history etc.Riding Freedom by Pam Munoz Ryan- similar uses- historical fiction based on the life of Charlotte Parkhurst, a woman who passed as a man all her life. She voted 50 years before women received the right. She was a stagecoach driver. Picture Books-
