When we used this book as a shared reading we were studying foods. The children innovated the book by writing about thier favorite foods and describing "how much" they loved them. For example. I Love Chocolate all the way to the moon and back. It was an oppurtunity for children to think of descriptive language. It is a very cute book and the kids love to read thier innovation over and over again.
