Have two

I have two kids with parents like this in my class. One of them, a boy, is notorious for getting away with whatever he wants. Every year it is the teacher's fault. He had three different first grade teachers because they
were all "too mean" and picking on him. He had two second grade, and now I've had him all year for third. Every time I send a note home it is not returned because the kid feeds mom some cockamamie story to justify the incident and mom buys it. The one time I attempted to call after sending a note twice (not returned) dad proceeded to scream, call me names, and slam the phone in my ear.

Needless to say I don't call. I'm just riding out the year with this one. He gets away with much more than he should like constantly screaming out in class because he's used to getting his way all of the time. With no parental support, there's little I can do. Take away recess, wow! I certainly can't send him to the office for things like that, they'd laugh me out of the school. I end up just putting up with his constant need to be the center of attention all day every day.
