Clip to ScrapBook
What I hate are those parents you contact by note when their children are having difficulty, either with their behavior or academically, and they support the CHILD! If I send home a note, for example, that Johnny could not stay in his seat today, the child will defend himself to his mother by saying something like "I was only picking up my pencil." The parent will support the child over the teacher. Then there was the parent I called at the beginning of the day last week to tell her that her child was writing "Kick me" signs to post on other students. Her mother actually told me that I should not have upset her child by calling her. What are we coming to????
As John Stossel would say, "Give me a break!!!"
