That word is not allowed...

I despise that word. I tell my students on day one that it is not allowed in my classroom. When someone does say it, they have to move their behavior card. They rarely say it and when they slip, everyone in the class is quick to call them on it. I'm not sure if it would work in the middle of the year or not. Maybe if they say it you could give them an extra homework assignment...have them write a paragraph about telling someone politely to be quiet.
