you just shared, I think she is either extremely dense and was not paying any attention at all in your many previous conversations (I have one friend who rents the same movies all the time because she can never remember what| she has seen... ) OR she is competitive/jealous and wanted you to know she knows what is going on at the school too. If it is the latter, she is obviously not trying to be helpful but I would just pity her. Maybe she is feeling insecure about her place at the school. She subbed for her friend, and now you are backing subbing so maybe she did not do that great of job? Who knows!? | | But I am sure it has nothing to do with your abilities at all. I think assertive yet pleasant is the way to go. Just a "yes, thank you I know that". Or maybe throw in a kind of joke "Oh yes, that is the way I have done it the last 30 times I have subbed here! " As much as you may want to scream or snark back (I know I would!) you are right, you would be the one ending up looking bad. I know what you mean about a reputation, it seems little disagreements can sometimes escalate into huge deals if you aren't careful...(my husband jokingly says that is what I get for working with a bunch of women! At least I think he is joking...:0 ) Good luck with your situation...you should post back if she tries this again and let us know how you handled it...Ally
