teachable moment

you're missing a teachable moment here....have the kids write to the states asking for infomration. YOu could pick out some of the largest citites in each state, put them into a hat/bag/whatever and have the kids draw cities to write to. They love getting mail....you could then turn the information into a bulletin board or have the kids make posters...
