to teach or not
By cg lawson

Clip to ScrapBook
You know, like everything, there is no one size fits all.Subbing, shadowing teachers etc., are all helpful ways to come to the decision that's right for you.Listen to others, but take what they say with a grain of salt, particularly teachers who are not happy! They often seem eager to denigrate the profession. I was originally a high school teacher (ESL)and thought I didn't like it. I stopped teaching for a long time but through volunteering in my children's classes, realized I should have been working with the lower grades. I am currently pursuing my multi-subject credential and a Master's degree in California. At age 46,I know this is where I belong!
