How about gluing them onto lined paper and having the kids write a story about that picture? I did the same thing with the Sunday funnies and the stories were really creative! They had fun with it. You could make it easier for that age group by making it a newspaper story - tell them to use the Who? What? When? .... questions - then turn it into a news article.
