Drinking in class

We don't have a specific policy but our building is very dry. I know that I have to have something to drink or else I will lose my voice. My kids are aloud to have water bottles on their desks and we have a drinking fountain in the classroom. A parent must have complained to your principal, how sad that he or she didn't consider coming to the teachers for input before sending out that e-mail.
