Clip to ScrapBook
Kellie,
I use a very visible behavior system. I use the stoplight behavior system. The students move down to yellow or red when they do not follow a classroom rule. At the end of the day, if they are still at green
they earn $100 classroom dollars. Once they have reached a certain amount of classroom dollars they may go to the reward list and choose their reward.
$100 = sticker or hand stamp
$500 = eat with a friend in the classroom or
earn 10 minutes of buddy read in any subject
$1,000 = homework pass or bring music for the class to listen to for 10 minutes at the end of the day

I

have found that the students like their choices and are motivated to earn them.

I also have individual checklists for 3 of my students. They have 3 goals that are assessed daily or by subject. They can earn a "+" or a "-" at the end of the week the teacher, student, and parent must sign the sheet. Eventually they do not need the list anymore or they bump down to using it for the whole day instead of by subject. I hope this was of some help to you.

My math idea - Fly Swat, for multiplication:
