I LOVE that book!!! My 5th graders loved it, too. I used the Teacher Created Materials resource book and it was wonderful!! It gave me ideas to introduce it (show them peach preserves, a tennis shoe, sunflower seeds, etc... and ask them to write what they each have to do with the story), vocabulary for every few chapters, many activities throughout the chapter (creating a model of Camp Green Lake), quizzes every few chapters, etc...
