Thank you for both of your replies. I think lately I am feeling a little down. We have a CBC television person coming out to our school tomorrow to talk to the teachers - mainly about the proposal in the provincial budget
to increase money going to First Nations schools. This is my 7th year teaching on a reserve- not the same one- second year where I am at now. This is the best one I have been at. I have 13 students in my room, 37 total at the school K-6. We lack nothing for supplies, everyone has at least 2 brand new computers in their classroom and we each have an educational assistant in our. So
what do we lack? I think that I am lucky in so many ways when I look at it that way. Now I know our situation is not the norm and I am unsure as to why CBC is coming to visit us. I find it interesting. My concerns have been behaviour problems with absolutely no help coming from home, or telling me false reasons for why the student behaves that way. So some days my class of 13 feels like 30, but I keep trying new things. And I really like working for band schools. The problem, as has been stated, is job security. We have none. Okay now I have written a letter. You see I am in a new town and have yet to find a way to meet friends. Guess I am feeling a little lonely. Sorry for the length and all of my definite rambling.
