Do you have Hyperstudio or Kidpix or even Powerpoint or Presentations- could have them do a slideshow. I have done this in grade 7. With 6 or 8 slides they could do something like 1) Titlepage 2) What causes it 3) Where they occur 4) Examples of famous ones 5) etc... 6) References Or you could have them do a "teaching presentation" when they must do a demonstration in front of the class to explain the concept of their natural disaster (e.g. tornado in a bottle, lightning with tin foil, etc...)
