I am doing my internship right now, and it is hard to take critism, but the thing that keeps going through my mind is that I would rather be told this now while I am a student teacher, rather than when I am trying to get tenure. Another thing I do when my mentor teacher and I are going over things is to end a positve note. Ask her/ him first what do I need to improve on, and lastly, what did you think some of my strengths were? Good luck, hope this helps!
