Think twice!!!!!!!!
By Don Mateo

Clip to ScrapBook
I don't suggest going into teaching unless you really want to do it. If you aren't for sure, don't, because you might regret it. There is a lot of bs when it comes to education and you will learn that if you go into teaching.
Nothing you learn in college prepares you for the classroom either. If you really want to put the time in it, I would mentor a teacher everyday for a month. You'll see exactly what I mean. Children run the classrooms nowadays, unless you are teaching in a traditional school where the administration supports teachers. I would suggest to you to go get a degree in whatever subject
you have a passion for and then maybe teach at the university level. You need no education courses to teach at the university level and you can run your classes as you please. Plus, you have students who want to learn and you don't have to deal with the discipline.
