I began subbing last March and had no problems getting sub jobs. You just have to be open to taking anything and not being picky about what jobs you will do at first. It really depends on the area you live in. I know where I live you can either apply to an individual district or the BOCES systems which allows you to sign up for many districts at a time and its one computer automated system that calls you. Also check about fingerprinting. Here in NY we have to be fingerprinted first. Hope this helps.
