Kindergarten
By Jane

Clip to ScrapBook
Before you accept the position, you may want to check with your district about how they classify Kindergarten. In some districts Kindergarten is catagorized separately from grades 1-5. This means if you teach Kindergarten and the class count is low in the Fall, you will be moved to a different school where the student count is higher.
This happened at our school. A teacher who had been teaching at our school (and absolutely loved it) for several years was teaching 3rd and decided to move down to Kindergarten last Spring. In the Fall, because we had a lower Kindergarten student count, she was sent to a school she didn't want to teach at!
