I give out my number
By Cathy-Dee

Clip to ScrapBook
I also like keeping the lines of communication open. I have found over the 10 years I've been teaching only 1 or 2 parents who have abused the priviledge. I like the fact that if something comes up (for example an illness or death in the family) the parents can reach me so that we are not left wondering where the student is. And if a parent just needs a question answered.

I also have call display and I screen all my calls and if it is from a parent who I know tends to cause problems then I simply do not answer the phone. I'll call them from school the following day.
