Becca,
Subbing is the most difficult job in the world. It is even more difficult if the teacher is not professional enough to leave good, clear lesson plans. I have subbed in many schools during my college years and I never returned to some after just one experience. However, I also found the school that I wanted to work at when I graduated. I set my goals on getting into that school. I did and it has been a wonderful experience. Good teachers are really needed. Look at subbing at different school like you buy clothing. "Try it on" if you like it, it is a keeper. If not, walk away and don't think twice. Do the best that you can do when you sub, but at the end of the day they owe you nothing and you owe them nothing.
