Teachers' dress
By Kathy

Clip to ScrapBook
Good point! If we want to be treated as professionals, we need to dress that way. There does come a time though when comfort is important. Also (depending on the level you teach)you can ruin expensive clothes when someone spills paint, throws up, etc. You get the idea!

As a primary teacher I find it a challenge to balance looking professional yet wearing something that makes it easy for me to move around with my chldren. I usually go with long dresses, pantsuits or dressy shorts and a jacket as they look professional, but still allow me to sit modestly when we make a circle on the floor.
