"Rug Area"
By Down Under

Clip to ScrapBook
Most of our room has carpet and only a part near the door and sink is lino. I try and arrange the desks so that when I need all the kids together to tell them something then we can all squash up on the floor. I also do it so the kids get to move around a bit and not just sit all day in their desks. We have sharing time on the floor, explaining a new lesson or rule or instruction, listening to a story, I can't think of any more. I also had a floor space in grade five as well when I taught that grade for much the same activities.
