Neat Method...Lattice Method

I have taught 2 digit multiplication for 4 years now and have had the same problems. I now teach Everyday Math and they teach the Lattice Method. It is very simple to use and learn for the students. If you would like I can email you the directions along with diagrams how to do. I know that in the past I have pulled my hair out trying to teach this and this year we are already moving along to division because they have this down.
