Clip to ScrapBook
I am sorry. Please bare with me and I will try to be more specific. I am new at this. Her comprehension is good on text that is easy- basic sight words. Her difficulty comes when she has to read larger words, such as words
with suffixes. I have been trying to get her to break down words and teacher reading strategies. She skips lines when she is reading - starts at the left and goes to the right and by the end she has skipped down a couple of lines and the story of course does not make sense to her. I have tried getting her to use her finger and use a card/piece of paper. When she comes across a word
she does not know she just guesses at it without actually looking at it to try to sound it out. Is this helping any? Please ask more questions if need be. I really want to help this girl out. Thank you for taking the time to look at this.
