ODD
By LS

Clip to ScrapBook
I might sound crazy when I say this, but alot of people do not think this disorder exists. it kind of excuses children for poor behavior. Alot of times, I find all kinds of reasons why kids behave this way and try to get
to the root of the problem. The best thing you can do is to form a relationship with that kid based on mutual respect. Meet that kid where they are, get to know him, his family, go to his baseball games, etc. Make that kid feel that he is special and worth of your respect and care.

I had a couple of kids in a child care after school setting that were identified with ODD. They came

from terrible lives with crazy things happening every day. We formed really deep relationships with these chidlren and never had a problem while they were in our care.
