As Rebecca says, it would be harder to get a job close to the capital city, any capital city, although you may be luckier if you are prepared to travel out and be more isolated. Again as Rebecca says, some areas are very isolated.
I am in New South Wales, Sydney, and know people who are waiting to be appointed after five years. Some areas are near impossible to get into.

You say you are able to teach grade 4 - 8 which would mean you could do both Primary, (4-6), or High School, (7-8). Our school year runs from late Jan/early Feb until December.
