By bad memories

I respect your idealism etc, and your wish to change your current position.

I was a TFA teacher in its first year. It was a disaster! The training was completely inadequate, the schools and the TFA organization were not supportive at all. Most of us were terrible teachers. And the snobbery! The egos! People who think they can change the world because they went to ivy league schools, but who know NOTHING about child development , lesson planning, management, curricula...

Certified teachers resented us, and now I understand why ... this program does undermine the profession
