I don't think that Teach for America accepts certified teachers because part of the point, I think, is that they draw bright people who weren't planning on being teachers into the profession. Anyway, if you are thinking Teach for America because of the social service aspect, you could think about Americorps or Peace Corps.
There is also a good websitewww.idealist.org that has listings of jobs, internships, volunteer positions in all sorts of fields, but are service oriented (everything from teaching to non-profit to camps, etc.). Just go to the jobs and choose education or children or something as the search criteria.
