Clip to ScrapBook
What about a pageant of historical figures like George Washington Carver, C. J. Walker, Mae Jemison, Charles Drew, MLK Jr., Harriet Tubman, Paul Laurence Dunbar, Duke Ellington, Ralph Ellison, Langston Hughes, Thurgood Marshall, Harold Ford Jr. --- scientists, artists, writers, activists, abolitionists, explorers, entrepreneurs, inventors, intellectuals. Kids can dress the part and say a few sentences about each one as they cross the stage. Call it "A Pageant of Excellence"?
