rug area

I teach 3rd grade and I have a rug area we use every day. When I read aloud to the kids I like them to be able to see and be inspired by the illustrations. We also discuss as we read and can easily share comments. Occasionally we meet there also for sharing or when I need them together to see something up close. The rug also is our stage where students stand to recite poetry, do Reader's Theater, etc.
