Clip to ScrapBook
I make overhead transparencies of worksheets (especially MC). Students might answer on paper OR each student has a set of 4 cards with A B C D on each card. They will read the question and decide on their answer. I will
say "Find it" [at this point they select the right card] "Hide it" [they will slip the card from their desk and hold it to their chest] "Show me your answer" [they will turn their card around to show me still holding the card at chest level]. I will mark on my grade sheet those who missed. I then give the right answer and students may slide the card back onto their desk. We normally
discuss the question. I also give tests using PowerPoint [both regular presentation and interactive]with my teaching station. If they miss the test they can make it up the next day at the computer. I have also made questions on index cards and the students go from desk to desk and answer them on their answer sheet. They really feel grown-up doing this and I have very few problems as they move around the room. I teach 3rd grade but have used these same ideas in former 4th and 5th grade classrooms. Hope this helps.
